At Macedonia Baptist Church, you’ll find people who delight in worshiping God and encouraging one another. We are a multicultural body of believers made up of a wide range of ages including infants to the elderly. We’d love to have you join us! We are located at 2214 Franklin Dr, Mesquite, Texas 75150.

What is the worship service like?

We view worship as the collective response of the congregation to the faithfulness and goodness of God.  Our desire when we come together is to “exalt and magnify His holy name.”  We also acknowledge that “in His presence there is fullness of joy.”  Throughout the service there will be times for praise and prayer, opportunities to affirm our beliefs, to demonstrate faithful stewardship of our time, talents, and treasures, and to grow in our faith through the ministry of the Word of God.  The music we use to praise the Lord will be a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs of praise.

How long is the worship service?

Our morning worship begins at 10:45am and ends soon after midday.

What will the music be like?

We use Hymns for the Family of God in our services with supplemental music that we believe most effectively communicates the message of the gospel.  This provides a blended and balanced approach to our music ministry and brings encouragement, hope, trust, comfort, and the strengthening of faith to each worshiper.

What are the sermons like?

One way of describing our worship is to say that we want to be Bible-based and Christ-centered.  For this reason, the Word of God and the preaching of the cross are central to our ministry in preaching and teaching.  We proclaim the risen Savior, who lives and who reigns in our hearts and lives.  The messages preached from our pulpit are based on passages from God’s Word.  We encourage our people to bring their Bibles to church and to treasure God’s Word in their hearts. The messages end with an invitation to respond to the moving of the Holy Spirit, and a challenge to apply God’s Word in our lives, in our work, in our family, in our community, and in our world.  Our desire is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.  And to love Him and to love our neighbor we must be obedient servants and faithful stewards of all His blessings.

What should I wear?

We do not have a specific dress code.  Our policy is to accept you just as you are.  However, we do encourage our worshipers to remember in Whose presence they are when they enter the sanctuary.  Reverence and respect can be shown in how we dress.

Where do I park?

Parking is provided in the parking lot next to the Sanctuary.

Where do my children go during the worship service?

A nursery is is available each Sunday morning for children from birth to three years of age.  The nursery is located in the Sunday School wing directly behind the sanctuary and is easily accessible.  For children ages four to seven years, a Little Lambs Church is provided in the Sunday School wing as well.  For children ages eight to twelve, Children’s Church meets in the Family Life Center at the rear of the complex.

Visiting any new church for the first time can be challenging.  We think you will discover many wonderful people here, as well as opportunities to learn about a relationship with the Lord and to serve others.   We exist to reflect the love of Christ to our community, and we would be honored if there is any way Macedonia Baptist Church can pray for or minister to you and your family.
