The Bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” We are all sinners, not because of anything we have done or not done, but rather because of the nature we have inherited. We are all sinners because of the first man, Adam who disobeyed God as we find in Romans 5:12 which says “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Though the wages, or result, of sin is death, God’s amazing grace provides the gift of life to all who will receive it. God’s promise to us in Romans 6:23 states “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We also find in John 10:10 that Jesus, God’s only begotten Son, came into this world that we not only have life, but an abundant life.
You may now be asking “How can I be forgiven as a sinner, receive this abundant life, and spend eternity with God at my death?” Here is what God said we all must do: In John 14:6, Jesus said “…I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” Dear friend, all you must do to receive this gift of salvation is found in Romans 10:9-10 which says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
If you would like to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, right now, in simple faith, pray this prayer sincerely, asking the Lord to forgive you of your sin and save you:
"Dear Lord, I admit to you that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross and arose from the dead for me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Please save me and receive me as your child. In Jesus name. Amen."
Won’t you ask Jesus into your heart and receive His precious gift of eternal life today?
If you prayed that prayer, your decision to follow Christ means that God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven!
